@Emily_zum | Long-time theatre lover and avid theatre-goer. Iâm the girl who sings Broadway tunes at karaoke. Lover of solid revivals, new musicals, and Shakespeare.

A deeply moving, thought-provoking and entertaining show. The use of rythym, foley, and movement was so unique and kept me enraptured the entire performance. The dialogue itself was percussive, and the use of repetitive dialogue and phrases was super well done. Because of the constant noise, the rare silence was deafening and strongly punctuated those moments. Every performer was outstanding, and I just wished I had multiple sets of eyes to see all the incredible details at once. The set and lighting was so creative and fit the material perfectly, as well as the costume design. I left immediately wanting to go back and would highly recommend this to anyone, especially lovers of music and dance! Read more

@ashowgoer | Iâm a longtime arts manager with degrees in directing and producing who has worked with a variety of theatrical and cinematic organizations.

An incredibly well-balanced, thought-provoking, complicated play about fragile white masculinity that sympathizes with its main character while also recognizing his [understandable] blind spots. Krasinski is one of the few A-list film/TV actors who is actually worth seeing â he does an outstanding job navigating the script, and is directed with a deft, almost invisible hand by Sam Gold. This is a great first start for Studio Seaview in their new home, which has been beautifully touched up since Second Stage moved out. Read more

Absolutely loved this show. I've been a fan of Dule Hill since his West Wing days, but was blown away by the passion and intensity he brings to this role. The tap sequence between Sammy Davis Jr and Nat King Cole is worth double your ticket price alone, but I was impressed by the perfect casting - each performer brought 100% and absolutely shined, with a particular shout out to Walter Russell III who's vocals blew me away. Some of the fever dream sequences are a little "off-broadway", but I think this show struck the perfect balance of having a clear message while still bringing top quality choreography to classic songs. I went home and read about 25 articles on Nat King Cole, so clearly it made an impact. Read more
